Job Title | Video Game Capture Artist / Director
Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and creative Video Game Capture Artist/ Director with
experience in conceptualizing and capturing cinematic gameplay for the creation of engaging video
content. The ideal candidate will possess leadership qualities to effectively lead a team of capture artists
and demonstrate proficiency in troubleshooting dev kits on both Mac and PC platforms.
Responsibilities:
1. Conceptualize and plan cinematic gameplay sequences to be captured for video content
production.
2. Lead and coordinate a team of capture artists, providing guidance and direction to ensure the
successful execution of video capture projects.
3. Capture high-quality gameplay footage using industry-standard recording equipment and
software.
4. Collaborate with the creative team to develop engaging storylines and narratives for video
content.
5. Stay updated with the latest video game trends, technologies, and techniques to continuously
improve the quality and creativity of content production.
6. Troubleshoot technical issues with dev kits on both Mac and PC platforms, ensuring smooth
operation of capture equipment and software.
7. Maintain organized files and documentation related to video capture projects, including gameplay
scripts and shot lists.
8. Provide feedback and mentorship to team members to foster skill development and growth.
Requirements:
1. Proven experience in video game capture, with a strong portfolio showcasing cinematic gameplay
footage.
2. Experience leading a team of capture artists, with excellent communication and leadership skills.
3. Strong understanding of video game mechanics, storytelling techniques, and cinematography
principles.
4. Ability to troubleshoot technical issues with dev kits on both Mac and PC platforms.
5. Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects
simultaneously.
6. Passion for video games and gaming culture, with a desire to create engaging and entertaining
content for a diverse audience.
Plus:
1. Edit and assemble captured footage into compelling video content, incorporating visual effects
and sound design where necessary.
2. Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro
Role is freelance to permanent | Pay Range from $50 to $75 per hour depending on experience
