As a member of our Engineering teams, you will help to engineer the magic. You will be part of a team that works each day to design, build, service and maintain a level of service that exceeds our client and guest expectations. Your team's responsibilities may include providing strategic and project support, developing global design and safety standards, designing and supervising fabrication and testing, providing software services, construction project management, maintenance and repair services, and sustaining assets and structures.
Good To Have:
  • Successful completion of the Disney College Program or Disney Professional Internship
  • Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher
Must Have:
  • Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook)
  • Availability to work various shifts commensurate with project requirement
  • Computer Science majors must have experience with and knowledge of Java, Python, C++
  • Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Post Graduate degree at an accredited 4 year college or university majoring in an Engineering related major (Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, Structural, Environmental, Low Voltage, Energy Management, Architecture and Landscape Architecture, or related)
  • Junior, Senior or Graduate student status by arrival date
  • Be enrolled in an accredited college/university pursuing a degree taking at least one class at time of application OR currently participating in a Disney College Program or Disney Internship
  • Be at least 18 years of age
  • Possess unrestricted work authorization
  • Current Disney Interns, College, International, or Culinary Program Participants: May only work for ONE consecutive year (12 months) in any combination of an internship and/or program
  • Be compliant with The Disney Look appearance guidelines
  • Fully available from Monday through Friday with occasional weekends or holidays pending project need, up to 40 hours each week
  • Able to provide/have reliable transportation to/from work

The approximate dates of this internship are January - June 2026.

\*This is multidisciplinary posting and candidates may be presented to a variety of teams including but not limited to: Quality Engineering, Worldwide Safety & Auditing, Engineering Services, Textile Engineering Services, Central Shops, Global Engineering & Technology, and Facility Asset Management.

What You Will Do

As a member of our Engineering teams, you will help to engineer the magic. You will be part of a team that works each day to design, build, service and maintain a level of service that exceeds our client and guest expectations. Your team's responsibilities may include:

  • Provide strategic and project support for new and existing attractions and facilities
  • Develop global design and safety standards
  • Design and supervise the fabrication and testing of enhancements and new designs for ride vehicles and systems
  • Provide software services for ride, show and other process control systems being developed and installed in the Disney parks
  • Provide construction project management services and long-term facility planning for the Walt Disney World Resort.
  • Deliver a wide variety of maintenance and repair services for the operating and support teams
  • Sustain assets and structures like buildings, rides, buses, watercraft and ensures our property is always show ready

Required Qualifications & Skills

  • Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office skills (esp. Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook)
  • Availability to work various shifts commensurate with project requirement.
  • Computer Science majors must have experience with and knowledge of one of the following programming languages: Java, Python, C++

Preferred Qualifications

  • Successful completion of the Disney College Program or Disney Professional Internship

Required Education

  • Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's degree or Post Graduate degree at an accredited 4 year college or university majoring in an Engineering related major including: Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, Structural, Environmental, Low Voltage, Energy Management, Architecture and Landscape Architecture, or related
  • Junior, Senior or Graduate student status by arrival date

Preferred Education

Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher (Note: Please, no rounding) as shown on a transcript.

Eligibility Requirements & Program Information

  • Be enrolled in an accredited college/university pursuing a degree taking at least one class at time of application OR currently participating in a Disney College Program or Disney Internship.
  • Be at least 18 years of age
  • Possess unrestricted work authorization
  • Current Disney Interns, College, International, or Culinary Program Participants: You may only work for ONE consecutive year (12 months) in any combination of an internship and/or program.

Additional Information

  • Be compliant with The Disney Look appearance guidelines
  • Fully available from Monday through Friday with occasional weekends or holidays pending project need, up to 40 hours each week, early mornings or late nights are a possibility, bulk of work time will be during traditional 8am-5pm
  • Able to provide/have reliable transportation to/from work

The pay rate for this role in Orlando FL is $30 for undergraduate student per hour and $35 for graduate student per hour.
