Job Description Summary:

We are looking for a creative and talented Frontend Web Developer to help build our external websites and intranet site. The ideal candidate will have expertise in a range of web development technologies, with extensive experience with CSS, HTML5, JavaScript, and PHP. Familiarity with browser and cross-platform compatibility issues are important.

As a Web Developer you will be joining our growing Digital Team. You will be responsible for working with designers and developers to deliver an efficient and effective web experience to our customers, partners, and visitors. This includes building interactive user experiences to engage our audience. You will work closely with other developers to build, review, test and deploy complex code using our Drupal environment.

Rocket Software deploys sites built on a responsive design. You should be comfortable working in this type of environment and understand how to develop code that works across all devices. You will need to be a detail-oriented individual who thoroughly writes, checks and tests code before deployment ensuring changes don’t impact other developers and that site loads quickly.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Work with designer and developers to continue to expand the Rocket's web presence by improving the sites user experience
• Collaborate with web designers to ensure mockups and UI meet specified requirements
• Work closely with the Marketing team to generate requirements for web features, and build components and pages that meet these requirements
• Ensure Rocket's Component Based Design System (in Figma) is accurately integrated into Drupal web components
• Proactivley identify and remediate bugs and defects.
  
  

Required Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience developing web sites in a business environment
• Experience with JavaScript, Drupal and PHP
• Experience adapting and developing themes for use in a CMS environment
• Can take a web page mockups and convert them into a valid HTML and CSS layout
• Communicate effectively between creative and technical teams
• Experience working with responsive designs
• Experience with Jira, Jenkins, Git, NPM
• Ability to build automated tests (Behat experience a plus)
• Strong debugging, problem solving and investigative skills
• Knowledge of secure coding practices to prevent breaches and ensure personally identifiable information stored in databases remains protected
• Familiar with Acquia tools and solutions (Acquia Cloud, Pipelines, Cloudflare) are a plus
• Experience with Marketo, Salesforce, Adobe Analytics & Target, and multilingual sites are a plus
