Job Summary

Job Description

As a Werkstudent SW-Entwickler Vision/Bildverarbeitung at Tesla Automation, you'll develop and validate 2D and 3D image processing systems for special machinery. Responsibilities include developing and documenting concepts and algorithms for image processing tasks, defining hardware components (cameras, lighting, etc.), programming computer vision software modules, and analyzing measurement data to systematically troubleshoot processes and programs. The role requires experience with image processing software (Halcon, OpenCV, etc.) and familiarity with mechanical/special machinery is advantageous. You'll contribute to Tesla's ambitious production goals by improving automated systems.

Must have:

Image processing experience (Halcon, OpenCV)
Software development skills
Problem-solving and analytical skills
Teamwork and collaboration
Enthusiasm for complex technical tasks
MS Office proficiency
German and English language skills

Good to have:

Experience in machine/special machinery
Knowledge of relevant hardware components

What You’ll Do

Entwicklung und Validierung von Bildverarbeitungssystemen (2D und 3D) im Sondermaschinenbau
Erarbeitung und Dokumentation von Konzepten und Algorithmen für Bildverarbeitungsaufgaben
Definition von relevanten Hardwarekomponenten (bspw. Kamera, Beleuchtung, Optik, Profilsensor, Interferometer)
Programmierung von Softwaremodulen im Bereich der Computer Vision auf Basis vorgegebener Konzepte
Analyse von Messdaten und systematische Fehleranalyse von Prozessen und Programmen

What You’ll Bring

Immatrikulierter Student (m/w/d) mit (abgeschlossenem) Studium der Informatik / Computervisualistik oder vergleichbare Qualifikation (Techniker / Meister im Bereich Automatisierungstechnik)
Erste Erfahrung in der Bildverarbeitung (Halcon, OpenCV, Keyence, Cognex oder vergleichbar)
Kenntnisse aus dem Maschinen- und/oder Sondermaschinenbau sind von Vorteil
Gute Kenntnisse in den gängigen MS Office Anwendungen sowie gute Englisch- und Deutschkenntnisse in Wort und Schrift
Hohes Maß an Teamfähigkeit
Begeisterung für technisch komplexe Aufgabenstellungen
