Glocomms is seeking an experienced Project Manager for a long-term contract to lead a phased Workday HCM implementation. The role focuses on managing key integrations, reporting, and end-to-end testing across various workstreams including Core HCM, Payroll, Time Tracking, Absence, Data Management/Transformation, and Reporting. The Project Manager will develop detailed project plans, coordinate resources, manage stakeholder expectations, monitor progress, and serve as the primary point of contact for client stakeholders. Responsibilities include fostering relationships with vendors and internal teams, communicating project outcomes, and promoting stakeholder engagement. The ideal candidate needs 4+ years of project management experience, specifically with HR systems, and a track record of managing complex projects with cross-functional teams and external vendors. Strong organizational, communication, and presentation skills are essential, along with the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Position Overview

Glocomms are working with an IT Consultancy that are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead a phased Workday HCM implementation on a long term contract. This role will focus on managing key integrations, reporting, and end-to-end (E2E) testing across multiple workstreams, including Core HCM, Payroll, Time Tracking, Absence, Data Management/Transformation, and Reporting.

Start Date: ASAP

Location: Remote (occasional travel to office in Milwaukee)


Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain detailed project plans for critical workstreams such as E2E testing, payroll/time tracking, integrations, and hypercare.
  • Coordinate internal and external resources to ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and on budget.
  • Manage stakeholder expectations, project deliverables, and risk mitigation strategies.
  • Monitor project progress and adjust plans as needed to meet evolving requirements.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for client stakeholders, providing regular updates and managing change requests.
  • Foster strong relationships with third-party vendors and internal teams to ensure seamless collaboration.
  • Communicate project outcomes, risks, and escalations to leadership as needed.
  • Promote stakeholder engagement and satisfaction through proactive communication and relationship-building.

Required Qualifications

  • 4+ years of project management experience, specifically with HR systems.
  • Demonstrated success managing complex projects involving cross-functional teams and external vendors.
  • Strong organizational skills with a focus on meeting deadlines and driving team accountability.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Confidence and assertiveness to drive project milestones and ensure timely delivery.

Preferred Qualifications

  • PMP or equivalent project management certification.
  • Experience with Workday implementation methodology.
  • Background in managing large-scale, multi-year business transformation initiatives.
