The Workstation Technician collaborates with Workstation Support Services to ensure hardware and software orders are received, configured, scheduled, and installed. Responsibilities include ensuring equipment is labeled correctly, researching and documenting device specifications, relocating equipment, providing on-site installation and technical support, serving as a technical liaison, maintaining equipment inventory, collaborating with IT Infrastructure, and evaluating and processing equipment according to IT Security policy. The technician must also assist with end-user training, and explaining basic concepts and procedures to a large and diverse customer base.
Good To Have:- Two years of customer service experience supporting computers.
- Associate's degree.
- Two years Technical School training in Computers, Technology, Electronics or a related field.
Must Have:- Two years of customer service experience.
- Good organizational, written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and exhibit good customer service skills.
- Ability to use ticket tracking software.
- Flexibility with workloads for projects or high priority orders.
- Understanding of computer-related terminology (CPU, Internet, Networking, etc.).
- Ability to lift seventy-five pounds or more.
- Ability to distinguish colors.
