Mid-Senior Producer / Project Manager

SMG Studio seeks an experienced Game Producer for a 3-6 month trial, potentially leading to long-term employment.  This remote role requires significant overlap with Sydney's timezone (9:30 am - 6 pm). Responsibilities include leading cross-disciplinary teams through all production phases, managing project backlogs and roadmaps, identifying and resolving blockers, managing change and risk, coordinating beta testing, liaising with third-party partners, monitoring analytics, and improving production processes.  Candidates should possess strong Agile methodologies experience, budget management skills, proficiency with production tools (Atlassian, Google Suite, Slack), and a passion for games.

We'd start with an initial 3-6 month trial and look to progress to longer after that.<br><br>We're mostly working from home, but have office locations in Sydney, Brisbane and Melbourne you could work from. <strong>This role can be done remotely</strong>. (We will consider those who require a 457/TSS&nbsp;VISA but this requires someone special)</li></ul><strong>You have:</strong><ul><li>A strong understanding of Agile methodologies with hands-on experience managing technical and digital projects</li><li>Experience managing, reviewing, and analysing budgets and resources. Also including project scope, reporting and scheduling</li><li>Fluency across production tools (Atlassian, Google Suite, Slack etc)</li></ul><p><strong>Bonus points for any of the following;</strong></p><ul><li><strong>Experience working in digital agency, ecommerce or other tech company (The founders are all ex-digital advertising agency)</strong></li><li>Experience using Jira&nbsp;or Slack.</li><li>A score of over 100 in One More Line.</li><li>Experience coding, writing, 3D, photography or any creative field.</li><li>An interest in boardgames</li><li>Prior employment at a large or small game developer</li><li>Worked on the development &amp; deployment of a console title (Switch, Xbox, Playstation)</li><li>Worked on the development &amp; deployment of a Steam title.</li></ul><p><strong>Your duties will include, but not&nbsp;limited to:</strong></p><ul><li>Lead and coordinate a cross-disciplinary team through all production phases to ensure project goals, milestones and deliverables are achieved.</li><li>Serve as a main point of contact for the project team, stakeholders and management.</li><li>Build and maintain project backlogs, roadmaps, schedules and other key project management artifacts across our titles and prototypes.</li><li>Crush those Blockers! Identify, escalate and help your team clear potential blockers that could affect timeline, sequencing or quality.&nbsp;</li><li>Manage change and evaluate risk and assess impact on project delivery.</li><li>Documenting the outcomes of meetings and allocating and enforcing actions on the team.</li><li>Organise and document beta testing rounds both local and remotely.</li><li>Liaise with our 3rd-party production partners.</li><li>Monitoring analytics and escalating issues and insights as needed.</li><li>Proactively contribute to the improvement of our production and development processes and tools through knowledge sharing and best practices.&nbsp;</li><li>Help coach, train and support less experienced members of the project management team, both direct and indirect reports.</li></ul><p><strong>Perks &amp; Benefits:</strong></p><ul><li>Remuneration based on experience&nbsp;</li><li>5 weeks annual leave after 2 years (start with 4 weeks.
