Wētā FX Animation Internship (In Honour of Julie Baines)

Wētā FX is offering an Animation Internship (In honour of Julie Baines) for the 2025/26 summer break. This opportunity allows interns to work alongside and learn from top animators, experiencing Wētā FX’s culture of excellence. It aims to inspire New Zealand female artists and those from diverse backgrounds to pursue digital animation careers. Applicants must be New Zealand residents, amateur artists with less than 12 months professional experience, and possess basic 3D/Maya skills.

Julie had a lifelong love for filmmaking and was a talented young animator.This is an amazing opportunity to work alongside and learn from some of the world’s top animators and experience Wētā FX’s culture of excellence.
