Job Description

This 1st Shift General Labor position involves safely handling lumber products, ensuring they meet customer and company standards. Responsibilities include moving, securing, stacking, and labeling materials, operating a staple gun, banding products, and maintaining a clean work area. The role also requires recording production and assisting other work areas as needed.
Good To Have:
  • High school diploma/GED
  • Manufacturing experience
  • Lumber experience
Must Have:
  • Move and secure lumber products and other materials according to instructions
  • Stack finished products according to predetermined bundle sizes and/or customer requirements
  • Label material based on specifications: type, size, and count
  • Apply individual tags to material before/after treating/production
  • Use a staple gun and troubleshoot equipment
  • Band, bundle and secure material, including attaching corner protectors and loading sticks
  • Follow instructions for stacking material properly and according to company policy and customer requirements
  • Ensure correct quantities and material are strapped, and labeled before leaving the work area
  • Maintain accurate inventory of tags and report any problems or discrepancies to supervisor
  • Record production on production sheets
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area
  • Assist with other work areas by moving material, loading and unloading material carts
  • Participate in safety, CI and other programs and meetings
  • Perform other duties as required
  • Working knowledge of basic math
  • Must be at least 18 years of age

Principle Duties and Responsibilities

  • Moves and secures lumber products and other materials according to instructions
