Flying Bark Productions is working on exciting projects such as the recently announced Avatar: The Last Airbender feature film, Netflix's Stranger Things animated series, Marvel Studios’ What If…?, Disney Marvel’s Moon Girl and Devil Dinosaur, as well as our production Tales From Outer Suburbia by Shaun Tan.

About the role:
- Provide editorial assistance and technical support to the Editor.
- Manage file imports and exports in Avid Media Composer.
- Collaborate on animatics, including dialogue, sound effects, and music cues.
- Assist with assembling sequences for review.
- Update and deliver scenes between departments.
- Organise and track dialogue from recording studios.
- Track and update dialogue changes from initial to final stages.
- Record scratch tracks as needed.
- Maintain a library of sound effects and music cues.
- Participate in story and edit pipeline meetings.
- Manage file flow between departments to keep edits current.
- Liaise with the Editor and production crew on priorities and workflow.
- Ensure quality control of all cuts.
- Adhere to delivery schedules for final materials.
- Prepare materials for studio and audience screenings.
About you:
- Proficient in Avid Media Composer.
- Experience with Shotgun is a plus.
- Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills.
- Thorough understanding of technical workflows and quality control.
- Excellent communication and time management skills.
- Ability to identify and flag issues impacting delivery.
- Team-oriented with collaborative skills.
- Have expert knowledge of the editorial pipeline.
- Test and implement pipeline changes.
- Assist with editorial documentation.
- Support the company and handle grievances professionally.
