This Account Executive role at Google focuses on mid-market sales within the UK and Ireland. Responsibilities include meeting ambitious revenue targets, managing a portfolio of medium to large businesses, developing multi-quarter growth plans, pitching and consulting with clients, and building strong executive relationships. The ideal candidate will possess strong sales and communication skills, digital marketing expertise, and a proven track record of exceeding quotas. They will work closely with clients to optimize their advertising investments and achieve their business objectives, leveraging Google's suite of advertising solutions. A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in advertising, consultative sales, business development, or IT is required.
Must have:
  • 5 years of relevant experience (or 3 years with advanced degree)
  • Proven success in exceeding sales quotas
  • Strong consultative sales and communication skills
  • Digital marketing expertise & strategic thinking
  • Experience managing digital advertising campaigns
Good to have:
  • Experience with performance marketing
  • Knowledge of online marketing strategy and tactics
  • Ability to build compelling narratives
  • C-level and B-level relationship management

Job Details

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5 years of industry experience in advertising, consultative sales, business development, or IT, or 3 years of experience with an advanced degree.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience strategically assessing and achieving client success via sales techniques, including effective questioning, objection handling, and promoting.
  • Experience in managing digital advertising campaigns with a focus on performance marketing.
  • Knowledge of online marketing strategy and tactics.
  • Ability to own a portfolio in an advertising or media sales context in the United Kingdom, and consistently overachieve quotas to drive growth.
  • Ability to build compelling narratives and utilize storytelling as a client engagement strategy.

MMS Account Executive (AEs) are senior sellers for high-potential clients, focusing primarily on C-level and B-level relationships. They use influencing skills, industry and marketing expertise, and business acumen to shape client objectives and identify growth opportunities. Account Executives challenge both short- and long-term client goals, collaborate with Account Strategists and client-side partners, and help Google enhance clients' ability to achieve their business and marketing objectives. AEs design transformative media strategies aligned with customer objectives, they provide Google-caliber solutions in partnership management, solution selling, and analysis to drive successful business outcomes. Leveraging their commercial acumen, they uncover business needs, help clients achieve their goals, and drive incremental revenue through industry-leading advertising solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver against ambitious quarterly revenue and product growth targets.
  • Own a portfolio of medium and large-size businesses by thoroughly understanding growth drivers, identifying opportunities for growth, managing risks, and building multi-quarter plans for achievement.
  • Pitch and consult with customers proactively to support annual digital marketing discussions and budgets.
  • Drive customer growth by delivering outstanding customer sales experience and achieving customer business and marketing objectives.
  • Establish credibility with executives and serve as a trusted partner to optimize and expand their advertising investment.
