Job Description

This Account Strategist role focuses on mid-market sales within Google Customer Solutions. Responsibilities include delivering against ambitious growth goals, owning a portfolio of medium to large businesses, understanding growth drivers, identifying opportunities, managing risks, and creating multi-quarter plans. The role requires proactive pitching and consulting with customers, driving customer growth through excellent sales experiences, and achieving customer business and marketing objectives. Strong stakeholder management and relationship building are crucial. Fluency in English, Dutch, and French is essential for managing client relationships in the Netherlands and Belgium. The ideal candidate possesses experience in advertising, consultative sales, or online marketing, along with expertise in digital advertising campaigns and performance marketing. The ability to build compelling narratives and consistently exceed quotas is also vital.
Must have:
  • 2+ years experience in advertising/sales
  • Fluency in English, Dutch, French
  • Digital advertising campaign expertise
  • Client relationship management
  • Quota exceeding performance
Good to have:
  • Knowledge of online marketing strategy
  • Experience in Netherlands/Belgium market
  • Storytelling and client engagement skills
  • Competitive selling and objection handling

Job Details

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 2 years of experience in advertising, consultative sales, business development, online media environment, or marketing roles.
  • Ability to communicate in English, Dutch, and French fluently to support client relationship management in this region.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience strategically assessing and achieving client success via sales techniques, including effective questioning, objection handling and competitive selling.
  • Knowledge of online marketing strategy and tactics.
  • Expertise in managing digital advertising campaigns with a focus on performance marketing.
  • Ability to own a portfolio in an advertising or media sales context in Netherlands or Belgium, and consistently overachieve quotas to drive growth.
  • Ability to build compelling narratives and utilize storytelling as a client engagement strategy.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver against ambitious quarterly business and product growth goals.
  • Own a portfolio of medium and large size businesses by thoroughly understanding growth drivers, identifying opportunities for growth, managing risks and building multi-quarter plans for achievement.
  • Pitch and consult with customers proactively to support annual digital marketing discussions and budgets.
  • Drive customer growth by delivering outstanding customer sales experience and achieving customer business and marketing objectives.
  • Drive stakeholder management, build relationships with the end customer or agencies.
