Job Description
This Accountant position at Garena India in Bangalore involves preparing and posting journal entries (accounts payable, accounts receivable, fixed assets), assisting in financial reporting, implementing efficient processes, maintaining financial security, updating the AP module, assisting with monthly book closures and tax compliances, and supporting the accounting of new entities. The role requires strong accounting knowledge, proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Oracle (EBS, Hyperion), and excellent communication and teamwork skills. Experience in a finance operating environment, along with knowledge of Indian tax/audit regulations is preferred but not mandatory.
Must have:
- Bachelor's/Master's in Accounting or CA Intermediate
- 1-4 years accounting experience
- Strong accounting knowledge
- Proficient in Excel and Oracle
- Excellent communication skills
Good to have:
- Big 4 accounting firm experience
- Indian tax/audit regulation knowledge
- Experience with Hyperion

Job Description
- Prepare and post journal entries (A/P, A/R, FA)
- Assist the team in preparation of the financial reporting package
- Assist the team in implementing strong processes, systems, and procedures to drive efficiencies and high-quality financial reporting.
- Maintain financial security by adhering to internal controls, accounting standards, and tax requirements
- Update and maintenance of AP module and vendor information
- Assist team in closure of monthly books
- Assist team in tax compliances
- To support the accounting of new entities (if any)
- Perform other related ad-hoc duties as assigned
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s/ Masters degree in accounting or CA intermediate or equivalent
- 1-4 years of working experience in accounting related field, Big 4 accounting firm experience preferred but not a must
- Strong people management, interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work well with people across different cultures
- Positive and result-driven, good sense of logic and analytical thinking
- A team player with good organization skill and an eye for accuracy and detail
- Solid accounting knowledge as well as local tax/audit regulation. Hands-on/relevant working experience in a finance operating environment. Indian tax/audit regulation knowledge preferred but not a must
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and good command in English, both written and oral
- Proficient in Oracle (EBS, Hyperion)
- Flexible and bright personality, open to commit in a dynamic environment
