Job Description
The Application Engineer, Supply Chain Systems role involves identifying and solving complex problems within Google's supply chain. Responsibilities include building and managing data pipelines using cloud-based solutions, integrating planning solutions across various enterprise systems (logistics, procurement, inventory, manufacturing), and potentially working with Kinaxis-based planning solutions. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, a bias toward action, and experience delivering creative, innovative solutions to large-scale problems. The role requires collaboration across multiple teams and the ability to navigate technical and organizational challenges.
Must have:
- Bachelor's degree in CS or related field
- 8+ years building data pipelines (cloud-based)
- Experience with enterprise supply chain systems
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills

- Master's degree in CS or related field
- Kinaxis experience
- Experience integrating planning solutions across enterprise logistics, procurement, inventory, and manufacturing systems

Job Details
Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 8 years of experience building data pipelines for internal/external business applications to generate data using Cloud based solutions.
Preferred qualifications:
- Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- Experience integrating planning solutions across enterprise wide logistics, procurement, inventory, manufacturing systems.
- Experience designing, building Kinaxis based planning solutions.
- Excellent communication and system skills, with a demonstrable bias toward action.

Responsibilities
- Identify the broad problems worth solving and turn that big picture into projects.
- Own and drive large and complex, or multiple smaller efforts into production that have a significant impact at the product area level objectives, which are visible at the executive level.
- Deliver creative and innovative solutions to large-scale problems.
- Anticipate/prevent technical and organizational obstacles, as well as effectively reacting and addressing them after they arise.
- Establish consensus amongst divergent/opposing teams as a neutral arbiter and represent and articulate multiple divergent views/approaches.
