Duties

This position will allow you to use your expertise in audio visual production to become a vital and essential part of Customs and Border Protection's mission. Apply for this exciting opportunity to serve as a producer, director, editor, gaffer, scriptwriter and production assistant in support of agency informational programming. This position starts at a salary of $86,962.00 (GS-12, Step 1) to $113,047.00 (GS-12, Step 10) with promotion potential to $113,047.00 (GS-12 Step 10). In this Audio Visual Production Specialist position, you will serve as a producer, director, script writer and production assistant in support of agency informational and message media production projects. You are responsible for oversight of the following program objectives: Serving as an authoritative technical advisor and resource to Audio Visual Production Specialists in medium sectors. Directing video productions in a large sector to include designing sets and lighting, conceiving visuals, selecting music and sound effects, selecting and directing cameras and movement during taping, editing video tapings, etc. Providing assistance in script preparation, creating electronic graphics to enhance presentation, edit videotapes for roll in and review, evaluate and edit finished programs. Creating and maintaining existing database of video imagery used for distribution as B-Roll to media outlets. Providing technical assistance and/or training to staff in a large sector in using the audio/visual equipment.
