Job Description

The Auto Paint Technician is responsible for refinishing and painting damaged vehicle parts to meet or exceed original factory specifications, ensuring an invisible repair. Responsibilities include operating body shop equipment, masking parts, mixing paint to match specifications, creating test panels, painting surfaces using sprayers or brushes, inspecting painted units for quality, maintaining tools and equipment, and adhering to safety regulations. The ideal candidate is a skilled professional with experience in automotive painting, capable of producing high-quality finishes and meeting tight deadlines. Compliance with Chinese laws and environmental standards is mandatory. The role requires flexibility and may involve extended hours.

Must have:

Operate body shop equipment safely
Mix and match paint colors accurately
Inspect for quality; address runs, sags
Maintain tools and equipment
Adhere to safety and environmental regulations

What You’ll Do

Operates and uses all body shop equipment properly and safely
Masks and protects parts that are not to be painted or coated
Mixes paint according to specifications. Tints color for proper match
Produces test panels when needed to obtain industry acceptable color match
Paints surface using sprayer or brush as appropriate
Inspects painted units for quality of workmanship, noting any runs, sags and unpainted areas
Maintains tools and keeps equipment clean and in a proper state of repair
Maintains and wears all required safety and health personal protective equipment, including respirator, in the manner recommended by the equipment manufacturer
Complies with all China laws and environmental standards
Able to work flexible hours and be available to work extended hours to complete tasks as requested by management
Attends training in order to constantly improve
Other Responsibilities: Perform other related duties as assigned, based on the business need
