Job Description

This internship at Bleacher Report, a Warner Bros. Discovery property, focuses on app automation. The intern will contribute to highly visible projects in sports media, including content creation and programming for the Bleacher Report app. Responsibilities involve sourcing content from various platforms (TikTok, Reddit, YouTube, etc.), setting up game highlight automation, optimizing app processes, and working within the content management system. The intern will learn about content decision-making using analytics, coordinate with managers and vendors, and audit existing content sources. This is a paid, hybrid internship requiring a strong passion for sports and understanding of social media trends.
Must have:

Bleacher Report, App Automation Intern: ATL - Summer 2025

Your New Role 

This internship will be located in the ATL area. The selected intern will be expected to join us in the office on a regular cadence based on the intern manager’s in office schedule. The intern will work on a variety of projects that will be some of the most highly visible in sports media. This includes creating and programming content across the Bleacher Report app, sourcing content from across the internet to program within the B/R app, executing workflow efficiency plans to improve the app experience, optimizing app automation processes for users, and working within our content management system to refine app experiences.

 
 
Your Role Accountabilities 

  • Find sources for new social platforms that will be added to the Bleacher Report app (TikTok, Reddit, YouTube, Apple Podcasts)

  • Set up game highlight automation for our partner leagues

  • Learn from managers on how content decisions are made using analytics

  • Audit existing Twitter/X sources

  • Coordinate with managers and third-party vendors to complete sourcing requests

 

Qualifications & Experience 

  • Deep knowledge and passion for sports and the culture that surrounds the game

  • Experience with computer science, coding or sport management preferred

  • Understanding of social trends, memes, viral content and popular culture

  • Effective presentation skills with the ability to clearly articulate ideas

  • Embody high standards and thoughtful design

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

  • Have an open mind, a positive attitude and a strong understanding of content consumption and the current youth culture landscape

  • Must be actively enrolled in an accredited college or university degree program for the full duration of the internship (proof of enrollment required) 

  • Must be a rising Junior or Senior (18 years or older)

  • Must be in academic good standing (3.0 or above GPA) A transcript will be required to verify your GPA if an offer is extended. 

  • Warner Bros. Discovery will only consider candidates who are presently authorized to work for any employer in the United States and who will not require work visa sponsorship from Warner Bros. Discovery now or in the future in order to retain their authorization to work in the United States. Candidates currently on any student or exchange visa, including F-1 CPT, F-1 OPT, J-1, M-1, etc., will not be eligible for the internship program.

What to know before applying: 

  • The duration of the summer program regardless of which start/end option is 11 weeks.   

  • Program date options: 

Option 1: June 2nd – August 15th  

Option 2: June 9th – August 22nd   

  • Interns will be expected to work 35-40 hours per week in a hybrid capacity 

  • Our internships are paid opportunities with a competitive hourly wage. Credit is not required; however, we will provide the necessary documentation for school credit if desired. Relocation is not provided.  

  • Interviewing will take place from February through mid-April. A WBD team member will contact you if your experiences and interests match an open internship position. Due to the high volume of applications, we are unable to give individual status updates.
