Job Description

Tesla's Body Repair Program in Oakleigh seeks a Vehicle Detailer with 3+ years of automotive collision repair experience. Responsibilities include vehicle inspection, repair, and service; operating various hand and power tools; maintaining records; ordering supplies; supporting technicians; and ensuring vehicle cleanliness. Detailing skills (wet sanding, polishing, buffing, waxing) and basic automotive repair knowledge are essential. The role involves following instructions, maintaining cooperative working relationships, and working effectively in a team environment. This is a full-time position planned to open in Q3 2024.

What You’ll Do
  • 3+ years of experience in automotive collision repair 
  • Performs entry-level work in the inspection, repair, and service of Tesla electric vehicles 
  • Operate a variety of hand, power, and shop tools 
  • Perform equipment inspections and adjustments 
  • Maintain records of time and materials 
  • May order shop supplies and parts as required 
  • Perform other related duties as assigned 
  • Help maintain vehicle cleanliness of customer cars 
  • Support journeymen technicians as needed 
  • Knowledge of: Methods, techniques for detailing vehicles - wet sand, polish, buff , wax, etc. 
  • Efficient skills in basic automotive techniques related to repair and servicing of automobiles

  • Perform detailed, daily record keeping and reporting

  •  Retail automotive service experience is a plus 
  • Valid driver’s license
