The Job

Mid to Senior Level Technical Game Designer working in Unreal Engine 5.x on a co-op FPS game. You will:

  • Design and implement core game mechanics, systems, and game loops from top to bottom
  • Primarily using Unreal Blueprint Visual Script, but also other scripting languages:
  • Create and refine gameplay prototype (player abilities, weapon special attacks, etc)
  • Craft enemy/monster AI behaviors
  • Design engaging player puzzles
  • Align and collaborate with all other disciplines to champion sustainable, scalable, performant solutions to problems

 

Qualifications:

  • 4+ years as a hands-on scripter and/or coder implementing gameplay features
  • Significant experience with Unreal Engine 4 and/or 5
  • Deep understanding of scripting systems like Blueprint and LUA
  • Working knowledge of C++
  • Experience shipping at least 1 AAA first-person shooter. Solid portfolio of work - mandatory.
  • Computer Science bachelor’s degree is a strong bonus but not a requirement

Salary Ranges (USD): $86,000 - $163,000
