Job Description

A results-oriented Business Intelligence Specialist is needed with a strong background in data analysis, reporting, and visualization. The role requires transforming complex data into actionable insights to support strategic decision-making. Key responsibilities include data analysis (collecting, analyzing, and interpreting large datasets), dashboard development (creating interactive dashboards and reports using Power BI or similar), data modeling (developing and maintaining data models using SQL and Google BigQuery), collaboration with cross-functional teams, establishing and monitoring KPIs, ensuring data governance, providing training and support to end-users, and continuously improving BI capabilities. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical and communication skills and experience with BI tools, SQL, and Google BigQuery.

Job Description:

A results-oriented Business Intelligence Specialist with a strong background in data analysis, reporting, and visualization. Proven track record of transforming complex data into actionable insights that support strategic decision-making. Skilled in collaborating with cross-functional teams to develop tailored reporting solutions and enhance data-driven initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

Data Analysis: Collect, analyse, and interpret large datasets of structured and unstructured data to identify trends, patterns, and insights that support business objectives.

Dashboard Development: Design and create interactive dashboards and reports using BI tools such as Power BI, or similar platforms to facilitate data-driven decision-making.

Data Modelling: Develop and maintain data models using SQL, Google Big Query that ensure data accuracy, consistency, and integrity across various business units.

Collaboration: Work with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and deliver tailored reporting solutions that meet specific needs.

Performance Metrics: Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess business performance and provide insights for improvement.

Data Governance: Ensure adherence to data governance standards and best practices, maintaining data quality and security protocols.

Training and Support: Provide training and support to end-users on BI tools and reporting processes, fostering a culture of data literacy within the organization.

Continuous Improvement: Stay up to date with industry trends and advancements in business intelligence, recommending improvements and innovative solutions to enhance BI capabilities.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Business Analytics, Information Technology, or a related field.

Proven experience in business intelligence, data analysis, or a similar role.

Proficiency in BI tools (e.g., Power BI) and experience with SQL and Google Big Query for data querying and manipulation.

Strong analytical skills with a problem-solving mindset and attention to detail.

Excellent communication skills, capable of conveying complex data insights to diverse audiences.
