Classical 2D Animators in TV Paint

Animation (rough to coloured)

We are seeking experienced 2D animators with demonstrably strong skills in the posing of human characters and the ability to convey subtle, believable human behaviour. Candidates should avoid clichéd or caricatured acting, instead bringing nuance and authenticity to their scenes. A solid understanding of human anatomy should be evident in your past work and visible in your showreel.

This international co-production requires animators to hand over scenes in a well-organized and clean format, allowing downstream departments—often located in other countries—to work with them efficiently.

In addition to strong drawing and animation skills, we are looking for experience in:

• Acting through animation
• Believable body mechanics
• Emotional storytelling

Animators will be responsible for full scenes, including rough animation, inbetweening, clean up and colouring from start to finish.

Software

We will be animating in TVPaint on Cintiq tablets. Ideally, candidates should be familiar with both.

General Conditions

We are offering a full-time position (Mo-Fr, 8 hrs / day), for a fixed term of approx. 5 months. In this role, remote work will unfortunately not be possible.

Our studio has a long tradition of working with international teams, so knowledge of the German language is not required for the job.

This project requires delivering high-quality animation on a tight schedule. So unfortunately, we do not have the capacity to train entry-level artists at this time.

For both artistic and production-related reasons, this is strictly an on-site position.

We understand that many artists have done excellent work remotely, and we fully respect that. However, due to contractual requirements, we can only consider candidates who are able to relocate and work on location for this specific project.
