Cloud Engineer - Azure

Responsibilities

Manage and administer Azure subscriptions, resources, and services.

Monitor Azure infrastructure for performance, availability, and security.

Implement and maintain Azure security best practices, including access controls, network security, and data encryption.

Deploy and configure virtual machines, virtual networks, and other Azure resources.

Manage Azure Active Directory, including user accounts, groups, and policies.

Design and implement Azure backup and disaster recovery solutions.

Collaborate with development teams to deploy and troubleshoot Azure-based applications.

Provide technical support and troubleshooting for Azure-related issues.

Stay current with Azure technologies and best practices, and recommend improvements to optimize our Azure environment.

Document Azure configurations, procedures, and best practices.

Automate the infra with Powershell, Ansible and terraform.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.

Microsoft Azure certifications such as AZ-104: Microsoft Azure Administrator or equivalent.

Total 5 – 10 years overall experience with 3+ years of experience managing Azure cloud environments.

Strong understanding of Azure services, including VMs, networking, storage, databases, and identity.

Experience with PowerShell scripting for Azure automation and management.

Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively in a team environment.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality results.

Experience with Azure Operations with infrastructure as code (IaC) tools such as Terraform or ARM templates.
