Summary

The Consumer Insight Analyst at Walt Disney World will support visitation research, processing, analyzing, and reporting data from various sources, focusing on guest behavior within the theme parks. This role involves understanding demand drivers, revenue opportunities, and consumer needs to inform long-term strategies. Responsibilities include data manipulation using statistical software (SAS, SQL, SPSS), creating compelling presentations using data visualization tools (PowerPoint, Tableau), and translating data into actionable insights. The position requires strong analytical, communication, and presentation skills, working on multiple projects simultaneously and adapting to changing priorities. This role reports to a Manager of Consumer Insights and is located in Celebration, Florida with the option for remote work on Fridays.
Must have:
  • 1+ years relevant experience
  • Quantitative research design & analysis
  • Data analytics with statistical software (SAS, SQL, SPSS)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Data visualization & presentation skills (PowerPoint, Tableau)
  • Excellent communication skills

The Consumer Insights, Measurement, and Analytics (CIMA) organization informs strategy development through relevant data analytics, integration, and insights. We provide consumer centric solutions through deep understanding of all relevant audiences.

You will reside within the Walt Disney World (WDW) Consumer Insight Team. This team identifies demand drivers and revenue opportunities, explores consumer needs to inform long-term strategies, and maximizes the guest experience across our four Theme Parks, Water Parks, Resorts, and Disney Springs to build long-term consumer loyalty and sustainable profitability.

The Consumer Insight Analyst will support WDW Visitation Research and be responsible for processing, analyzing, and reporting data from various sources.  The majority of time will be spent understanding Guest behaviors of those visiting the WDW Theme Parks. 

This role reports to a Manager of Consumer Insights, is located in Celebration, Florida and requires regular in-person availability with the option to work remotely on Fridays.

 
 
Basic Qualifications

  • 1+ years relevant experience in a related field of research (e.g., market research, business analytics, strategic planning)
  • Experience in quantitative research design, analysis, and interpretation
  • Experience in data analytics, including management and manipulation of large data sets through statistical software (e.g., SAS, SQL, SPSS)
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (can develop and manipulate complex spreadsheets and data sets)
  • Ability to effectively translate data into actionable insights and create compelling presentations through data visualization in PowerPoint (Tableau is a plus)
  • Critical thinker, able to sort through complex business challenges and opportunities
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
  • Demonstrated strong work ethic and high intellectual curiosity
  • High attention to detail and accuracy is a must
  • Flexible and nimble-can easily and quickly adapt to changing priorities
  • Positive can-do attitude

Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity with Walt Disney World Resort business, Guest experience and products
  • Experience in theme parks, hospitality or entertainment
  • Experience with Tableau to create in depth visualizations
  • Hands-on experience with Snowflake, Python and/or R

Required Education

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in related field 

Preferred Education

  • Master's degree in business and/or data analytics field of study
