Job Description

The Customer Account Specialist at Advantage Label & Packaging is responsible for providing exceptional customer care, aiming to exceed expectations and simplify the customer's job. This role involves direct interaction with customers via phone and email, processing sales orders, gathering necessary information, and coordinating with internal teams like Supply Chain and Account Managers to ensure a seamless customer experience. The specialist also collaborates with pre-press departments for custom product orders and maintains an organized, enthusiastic work approach.
Must have:
  • Answer phone calls, respond to emails, and determine customer needs.
  • Enter sales orders on to the computer system.
  • Determine and gather missing pieces of information for customer orders.
  • Work with Supply Chain Manager to place Purchase Orders.
  • Work closely with Account Managers to ensure the best possible experience.
  • Interact with various pre-press departments for custom product orders.
  • Successfully manage time and keep an organized work area.
  • Work with enthusiasm, self-motivation and encouragement for others.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft products.
  • Positive, confident and effective communication skills.
  • Ability to understand and work with spreadsheets.
  • Competent use of math to calculate totals, sums, margins and percentages.

  • 4-Year degree from College/University desired.

Job Summary:

Customer Account Specialists are responsible for caring for customers in a way that exceeds customer expectations, with a specific and consistent focus on making the customer's job easier.

Principle Duties and Responsibilities:

  • On the front line with Customers, answering phone calls, responding to emails, and determining the need. Forward to appropriate personnel or handle the need personally.
  • Enter sales orders on to the computer system.
  • Determine and gather the missing pieces of information for customer orders. If a judgment call is required, then consult with appropriate team member.
  • Work with Supply Chain Manager to place Purchase Orders for items ordered by customers and not in stock.
  • Work closely with Account Managers to ensure the best possible experience for the customer.
  • Interaction with various pre-press departments to ensure successful completion of custom product orders.
  • Successfully manage time and keep an organized work area.
  • Work with enthusiasm, self-motivation and encouragement for others.

Required Training:

  • 2 months in office.
  • Meet with Sales Reps and learn about their top customers.
  • Job shadow in Service, Production, and Shipping.
  • Training on each of the following procedures: Pr-4.2-02, Pr-7.2-01, Pr-7.3-01, Pr-7.4-01, Pr-7.5-01, Pr-8.2-01, Pr-8.3-01, Pr-8.5-01

Required Education and Skills:

  • 4-Year degree from College/University desired.
  • Business related degree desired.
  • Microsoft products familiarity
  • Positive, confident and effective communication skills, including in person, over the phone, and via email.
  • Ability to understand and work with spreadsheets
  • Competent use of math to calculate totals, sums, margins and percentages.

The pay for this position is $20-$25 per hour, depending on level of experience.
