JobSummary:

Centripetal is seeking Cyber Data Scientists to research, develop, prototype, and maintain next-gen cybersecurity applications. Candidates must be capable of working with the Cyber Data Sciences team on all phases of the applications process from chalkboard to implementation. The position requires discrete mathematics, data analysis/data mining, and programming skills that are applied to the cybersecurity, TCP/IP network applications, and machine learning spaces.

Responsibilities:

Collaborate with Centripetal cyber data scientists, cyber analysts, cyber applications specialists, and network product developers to create new cyber defenses against global Internet threats and cyber criminals.

Design and execute cyber data experiments and analyze results; design and implement efficient algorithms, data structures, and machine learning models; and design, prototype, deploy, and maintain new innovative cybersecurity applications and services.

Requirements:

  • A BS/MS/PhD in Mathematics and/or Computer Science and/or Data Science and/or Physics. Must have strong skills in both mathematics and computer programming. New or recent graduates encouraged to apply. Other desirable skills include:
  • Some combination of developing applications for or research projects in machine learning, cybersecurity, TCP/IP networking, DNS, scientific computing, computational mathematics, or similar.
  • Some combination of C, C++, Rust, Java, python, or similar programming language
  • Some combination of scikit-learn, tensorflow, Matlab, Mathematica, Splunk, or similar software
  • Experience with Linux/OS shell programming & scripting and system management
