Well, what about the team?

We’re seeking a passionate Data Developer who is experienced in data development and has a solid understanding of data warehousing, cloud-based solutions, and data pipeline development. You'll be working alongside talented Data Developers, Data Architects, and Machine Learning Developers in an agile environment, designing innovative solutions for our Data Platform while supporting and troubleshooting our existing data estate.

As a part of our dynamic Data team, you will help deliver core data components and develop a range of real-time data pipelines. You'll work with large datasets and have the opportunity to apply cutting-edge Big Data technologies and methodologies across both cloud and on-premises data environments. 

So, what will you be doing?

• Collaborating with Data Product Owners, Developers, and stakeholders to design and implement scalable data solutions
• Developing and optimizing data pipelines for data warehousing and inbound/outbound integrations
• Utilizing Python and SQL for data analysis, backend development, and data manipulation
• Applying modern data frameworks such as Spark, Beam, and Airflow for building robust data pipelines
• Troubleshooting and resolving issues with the data platform to ensure high availability and reliability
• Participating in an agile work environment, maintaining open communication and continuous improvement

And what are we looking for? 

• Possess advanced SQL & Data Warehousing skills, including the ability to design, implement, and optimize data models, and write efficient SQL queries
• Be able to program using Python for backend development, and optionally Java
• Have experience in data pipeline development using open-source frameworks like Spark, Beam, or Airflow
• Be experienced in working with at least one major cloud platform (AWS, GCP, Azure)
• Be knowledgeable about Parquet, Delta, Spark performance tuning, and optimizing data lakes
• Have experience working within the Databricks ecosystem
• Be familiar with TDD (Test-Driven Development) and CI/CD practices
• Have experience with streaming technologies such as Kafka, Pulsar, or Flink
• Have hands-on experience in setting up alerts and monitoring data infrastructure
