Data Engineer

CCP is looking for an enthusiastic data engineer to join our team of data engineers in our wonderful Reykjavik studio.

As a successful candidate you will help build and maintain a modern, best-in-class data infrastructure, pipelines and structured data models to support real time analytics in an iconic technology company.

You will collaborate closely with talented people across the company on a mission of continuous improvements towards meaningful virtual experiences.

Your tasks:

• Design and build data infrastructure, pipelines and processes to support real-time analytics
• Collaborate with data analytics and scientists on data feature engineering
• Contribute to the construction of a modern enterprise data warehouse
• Support and refine the implementation of a scalable cloud data architecture
• Maintain and continuously improve on existing data infrastructure, processes and data assets
• Participate in the adventure of building online entertainment for the masses

Your profile:

• A bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science or a closely adjacent discipline
• Advanced SQL skills - writing complex queries, stored procedures and functions of your own and optimizing other people's code
• Strong coding experience in at least one programming language (e.g. .Net, Java, Python, Go)
• A proven track record with data modelling and database design
• Experience with cloud data infrastructure
