Job Description
Trendyol GO seeks Data Science Professionals to develop algorithms enhancing user and seller experiences. Responsibilities include refining personalization and recommendation models, optimizing search, conducting A/B testing, and translating business needs into data-driven solutions. The role involves building and improving ML models (classification, regression, ranking, etc.) using Python, SQL, and libraries like scikit-learn, Pytorch, and TensorFlow. Success requires strong communication skills, a data-driven mindset, and collaboration with cross-functional teams. The ideal candidate will have 2-8 years of experience in machine learning and a relevant quantitative degree.
Must have:
- 2-8 years ML experience

YOUR MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
- Data Science department in Trendyol consists of 100+ talented data scientists organized under several domains. Each domain is autonomous and empowered to experiment with new ideas while cross-collaboration is strongly encouraged with horizontal structures.
- As a member of the Trendyol GO domain(meal & grocery), your role entails the development of algorithms within the meal and grocery domains. Your primary responsibility is to enhance user and seller experiences on the platform which involves refining and improving personalization efforts and recommendation models to create significant impacts and improving ranking problems, enhancing relevancy, and optimizing search components to ensure the utmost efficiency and user satisfaction
- Be a data champion in Trendyol who relentlessly advocates for decisions based on data and actions driven by algorithms.
- Build, implement and iteratively improve ML models to solve complex business problems.
- Adopt a holistic mindset and develop comprehensive ML pipeline solutions, incorporating multiple algorithm layers as necessary.
- Execute A/B experiments, reach conclusions statistically and build upon learnings continously.
- Translate business needs into data world, come up with value-adding outputs and communicate the results to cross teams effectively.
- Focus on outcomes ensuring that all model development are aligned with the business objectives and deliver measurable resultsStay updated with the latest developments in data science and always come up with innovative ideas to improve processes iteratively.
- Work with stakeholders throughout the organization to identify opportunities for leveraging company data to drive business solutions.
QUALITIES WE ARE LOOKING FOR
- Bachelor's or Master's Degree preferably in Industial Engineering, Computer Science, Engineering, Statistics or a related quantitative field
- 2-8 years of proven experience in a variety of machine learning modeling techniques (Classification, regression, learning to rank algorithms, clustering, gradient boosting, deep learning etc.)Proficiency in Python and SQL is required. ML pipeline design experience is essential.
- Experience in one or more of the libraries such as scikit-learn, Pytorch and TensorFlow is a plus.
- Proven experience in data mining and statistical analysis
- Effective communication skills with a capability of explaining complex data concepts clearly.
- Exhibit a strong sense of urgency and drive tasks to completion to meet the dynamic needs of our fast-paced environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
- E-commerce & local-commerce experience is a big plus
- The experience range for this position is suitable for specialist/senior specialist.

We offer a hybrid model that combines the productivity of remote work with the bonding and collaboration of in-office work. Teams are expected to work from our offices on designated days each week, fostering team spirit, creativity and cross team collaboration as part of our culture.
We also provide a summer working model, with a two-month fully remote work opportunity during July and August.
The hybrid working model only applies to hybrid roles; on-site roles require regular office presence.
