Job Description

Aulani, A Disney Resort and Spa seeks an Engineer 3 for General Maintenance. Responsibilities include diagnosing and repairing hotel equipment, responding to guest inquiries, ensuring guest satisfaction, complying with Disney policies, and handling emergencies. The role requires HVAC/appliance repair experience, safety consciousness, teamwork, adherence to Disney work rules, performing repairs and preventative maintenance, maintaining inventories, keeping work areas clean, and working varied shifts. This position demands excellent communication, troubleshooting, and a willingness to learn and grow within the trade.

Diagnose and provide service and repairs to hotel equipment. Respond to inquiries and problems in an efficient, courteous and professional manner to achieve the highest Guest satisfaction while complying with all Disney policies. HVAC/Appliance repair experience preferred

Responsibilities:

  • Own Safety for yourself and for others
  • Work harmoniously and professionally with co-workers and supervisors
  • Comply with Disney Work Rules and Standards of Conduct
  • Respond to all emergency conditions such as fires, power failures etc.
  • May be required to perform various duties required by management
  • Perform necessary repairs and PM to guest rooms, public areas, pools and select equipment of the Resort and update/maintain appropriate logs
  • Respond to guest calls regarding maintenance of rooms and equipment in rooms or public areas
  • Install or relocate any additional equipment or existing equipment when necessary
  • Maintain parts and tool inventories
  • Maintain all Engineering areas in an orderly and clean condition
  • Ability to work Varied Shift and Varied Days Off

Basic Qualifications:

  • Minimum 2 years or relevant/related work experience
  • HVAC Certification required
  • Must be experienced in a specific trade of installations and maintenance
  • Increased ability to perform routine and preventative maintenance
  • Demonstrated skill set, knowledge, ability, and willingness to learn
  • Demonstrates a desire to grow in their trade/craft
  • Basic troubleshooting skills
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Must have an aptitude and desire for additional training

Required Education

  • High School education or equivalent (Technical/Vocational school preferred)

Additional Information:

Full Time - Full availability is required seven (7) days per week, including early mornings, late nights, weekends, and holidays.


The pay rate for this role in Hawaii is $34.03 per hour.
