We’re looking for an Engineer- Sports Lighting Application Support to join our Marketing Team in Pune. This position primary focus on supporting our Municipal Sports Lighting business

The incumbent is responsible for the development of photometric studies, interior, and exterior, driven by agents, engineers and architects, specifications and designed to Illuminating Engineering Society standards or the standards identified by the customer.

Lighting Application team members work with CAD files, scaled image files or Google Earth images to develop lighting layouts using AGi32 software. This position is responsible for applying the appropriate technical knowledge, skillset, tools, and techniques required to communicate and document the correct type, quantity, and installation location of our lighting products, achieving the desired light levels and uniformity as required for each project.

The incumbent acts as a knowledge expert in multiple municipal sports applications. This position requires technical individuals capable of understanding 2D drawings, applying the correct Cooper Lighting products, the required light levels, uniformity and suppling the customer with value engineered solution to be competitive in the marketplace.

What You’ll Do

  • Review project specifications to provide a customized sports lighting solutions based on reflected ceiling plans or exterior plans, fixture schedules, design guidelines, or customer directions
  • Generate project specific photometrics
  • Develop a communication line with the Applications team, supporting brand(s), product managers, technical support, agents, engineers, and inside sales teams.
  • Understand user intent for specific sports and systems and communicate necessary improvements based on your research of IES standards
  • Maintain project deadlines and follow up on outstanding projects with the internal teams
  • Versatility and agility to support Sports Lighting Application needs with room to grow

Your Qualifications

  • Graduate in Engineering with minimum of 3-5 years of experience reading electrical design drawings; reflected ceiling plans, fixture schedules, etc. (LC, Photometric Sports Lighting Design experience will be considered)
  • Strong knowledge of lighting systems
  • Proficient with AutoCAD and Bluebeam, knowledge of AGi32 software or equivalent lighting design software will be added advantage
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize workload efficiently and a strong technical aptitude and learning agile
  • Effective interpersonal skills with the ability to interact with customers via the phone, e-mail and other written and verbal communication mediums
