To keep up with our rapid growth we are looking for an External Reporting and Technical Accounting Senior Manager for our Group consolidation team part of the corporate finance team at Azerion headquarters in Amsterdam.


Team
This role is within our Group consolidation team, located at our highly internationalized HQ office in Amsterdam. The Group consolidation team is the central finance organ responsible for the group’s top consolidation and internal and external reporting process. They prepare key management information and reports directly to the Management Board and Supervisory Board on a range of financial matters, and support the Group’s M&A activities, post-merger integrations and capital raise trajectories.


What you will be doing in this role:

  • Preparation of all periodic IFRS consolidated financial statements for external use, ensuring these reports comply with the Group’s regulations, IFRS accounting policies and other applicable GAAP reporting guidelines.
  • Analysing the periodic group financial close, identifying trends in subsidiary reporting and managing group-wide accounting and reporting compliance with IFRS. 
  • Support the implementation and roll-out of a group wide accounting and reporting manual compliant with IFRS.
  • Analyse the monthly, quarterly, and yearly group consolidation output for compliance with Azerion policies and identify reporting trends. 
  • Guide newly acquired companies towards the adoption of Azerion financial and IFRS policies. 
  • Active collaboration with the group consolidation team to ensure accounts are properly included in internal and external financial statements.
  • Prepare position papers on complex accounting and reporting matters and create instructions for (group-wide) implementation.
  • Act as the key liaison with the external auditor for the consolidated financial statement audit and other audit workstreams.
  • Your primary location is the global HQ in Amsterdam, but you operate in close interaction with multiple affiliate companies across the globe.


What you can bring to the table:

  • Minimum 6 years experience in a financial reporting role/ Big 4 audit background.
  • Master’s degree in accounting/finance and qualified chartered accountant licensure.
  • Solid experience with IFRS accounting and reporting standards, and preparation for reporting of periodic consolidated financial accounts in accordance with such standards.
  • Solid experience in consolidation.
  • Strong verbal and written skills in English.
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize and adjust in a highly demanding, dynamic, and fast paced environment.
  • Ability to be self-sufficient and work in a team setting.
  • Experience within the Media & Advertising industry is a plus.
