Job Description

We are looking for a talented freelance concept artist to create art for a stylized game world. You will be responsible for creating high-quality concept art that guides the 3D and animation teams. You will be developing original concept art for robots and characters based on design briefs and worldbuilding directions. The artist should collaborate with creative leads to iterate on designs and visual tone. The artist should produce clean linework, grayscale values, and/or color renders depending on the asset needs. Maintaining design consistency across different character classes and factions is also required.
Good To Have:
  • Familiarity with sci-fi, post-industrial themes
  • Experience designing environment
Must Have:
  • Strong portfolio showcasing robotic concepts
  • Excellent drawing, rendering, and design skills
  • Translate narrative goals into visual storytelling
  • Proficient in industry-standard tools

Role Overview:

We are seeking a talented freelance concept artist with a strong portfolio in character and robotic design to support the development of a stylized game world. You will be responsible for creating high-quality concept art that guides our 3D and animation teams, with a focus on imaginative silhouettes, mechanical detail, and expressive character personality.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Develop original concept art for robots characters based on design briefs and worldbuilding direction

  • Collaborate with creative leads to iterate on designs and visual tone

  • Produce clean linework, grayscale values, and/or color renders depending on the asset needs

  • Maintain design consistency across different character classes and factions

  • Create reference sheets and callouts for 3D production handoff

Requirements

  • Strong portfolio showcasing stylized robotic and or tech concepts

  • Excellent drawing, rendering, and design skills

  • Ability to translate narrative or gameplay goals into visual storytelling

  • Experience with isometric, top-down, or stylized aesthetics is a plus

  • Proficient in industry-standard tools (e.g., Photoshop…etc)

Nice-to-Haves:

  • Familiarity with sci-fi, post-industrial, or tactical visual themes

  • Experience designing environment
