Dark Burn Creative seeks a Freelance Production Coordinator to work on-site in Woodland Hills, CA. Responsibilities include collaborating with creative directors and producers to deliver final products, overseeing timelines and creative notes, supporting producers in capture processes, organizing feedback and file transfers, maintaining team schedules, documenting client meetings, communicating project updates, coordinating capture scheduling, performing quality control on trailers and videos, and ensuring accurate representation of video games. The role requires excellent attention to detail, strong communication skills, and the ability to work long hours under tight deadlines. The position is freelance through mid-June.

We combine our creative storytelling expertise with large-scale production resources, uniquely positioning us to create, market, and distribute gaming content for our diverse client portfolio of top gaming development companies and major brands.

We're currently seeking a Freelance Production Coordinator to work on-site in our Woodland Hills, California office. In this role, you will work as a quality control participant in one of the world's largest gameplay trailer production companies. 

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

  • Collaborate with Creative Directors, Producers, and team members to deliver market-ready final products.
  • Oversee timelines, track creative notes, and update project management tools.
  • Support producers by following standard procedures, ensuring smooth capture processes, and covering for producing staff when needed.
  • Facilitate the organization of feedback, handle file transfers, and coordinate content distribution across teams.
  • Maintain team schedules and drive smooth project workflows.
  • Document client meeting notes, distribute them promptly, and ensure follow-ups on action items.
  • Communicate regularly with team on project status updates.
  • Helps to coordinate capture scheduling with the capture production staff.
  • Coordinate requests from other internal teams.
  • Perform quality control on trailers and videos to ensure accurate representation of popular video games.

ABOUT YOU:

  • Must be available to work long hours, especially under tight deadlines.
  • 1+ years related gaming experience required.
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience
  • Experienced with Jira and Airtable a plus!
  • A motivated, self-starter with previous post-production and/or video game (marketing) experience a plus.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Ability to articulate clear feedback (written and verbal) and ask the right questions for context in said feedback.
  • Open, honest, and proactive in your communications approach (written and verbal) with the confidence and critical thought to ask difficult questions appropriately.
  • Strong listening skills and willingness to change course seamlessly & easily.
