About the job
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain gameplay systems using visual and text-based scripting languages (Blueprint, Lua, Python, or similar).
- Create and enhance design tools to streamline workflows.
- Build prototypes for new gameplay elements to test and iterate on concepts.
- Identify and resolve technical issues, ensuring a polished and engaging player experience.
- Improve game performance, focusing on memory management, frame rate enhancement, and using UE5’s profiling tools.
- Work closely with team members to communicate complex technical concepts in an understandable manner.
Requirements
- Expertise in both visual and text-based scripting languages (Blueprint, Lua, Python).
- Deep understanding of Unreal Engine workflows, including UE5’s Control Rig, Sequencer, animation systems, Niagara VFX, Nanite, Lumen, materials, and shaders.
- Experience in optimising game performance and troubleshooting bottlenecks using UE5's profiling tools.
- Strong grasp of game and level design principles.
- Previous experience working on games or game-adjacent projects.
- Motivation to tackle creative and technical challenges and the ability to analyse and deconstruct the work of others.
