If so, you’ll be right at home on the Browser Clients Team. We build and maintain the client-side framework that powers www.twitch.tv. As a Front-end Engineer, you’ll be integral to shipping performant, high quality, and delightful software to Twitch viewers and creators.\n\n### You Will:\n\n* Work effectively with the Browser Clients team and feature teams to build high quality Twitch client experiences.\n* Build, maintain and improve the platform capabilities, developer workflows, tools, and processes that enable feature teams to ship their changes with confidence and velocity.\n* Become an expert in Twitch’s browser-client technology stack and provide guidance to feature teams on implementing their front-end use cases and understanding their performance in production.\n* Contribute to architectural, technical design, and process discussions which guide the evolution of Twitch’s browser-based clients.\n* Identify and uphold frontend engineering best practices through documentation, static analysis, testing and developer education efforts.\n\n### You Have:\n\n* A degree in Computer Science, a related Engineering discipline, or equivalent experience\n* 2+ years experience working on large scale JavaScript applications\n* Experience with TypeScript\n* Experience with React\n* A good understanding of CSS\n* Strong analytical problem solving skills\n\n### Bonus Points\n\n* Architectural experience creating highly-scalable web applications\n* A solid understanding of best practices and techniques regarding web scalability, performance, and security\n* Experience with GraphQL, especially the Apollo Client\n* Experience with SCSS or SASS\n* Experience with Webpack\n* Experience with React Testing Library, Playwright, or other major testing frameworks\n* Experience with TeamCity, CircleCI, Github Actions or another major CI/CD platform\n* Experience with client telemetry/observability\n* Passion for video games is a big plus\n\n### Perks\n\n*  Medical, Dental, Vision & Disability Insurance\n* 401(k)\n* Maternity & Parental Leave\n* Flexible PTO\n* Amazon Employee Discount\n\nPursuant to the San Francisco Fair Chance Ordinance, we will consider for employment qualified applicants with arrest and conviction records. \n\nPursuant to the Los Angeles Fair Chance Ordinance, we will consider for employment qualified applicants with arrest and conviction records. \n\nJob ID: TW8802\n\nOur compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from our lowest geographic market up to our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
