Project description
We are seeking a highly skilled Techno-Functional SME with expertise in FX migration projects involving the Murex platform. The selected candidate will play a key role in the end-to-end migration process of FX systems to Murex, ensuring a smooth transition while enhancing functionality and optimizing performance. The project involves collaborating with cross-functional teams, including developers, testers, business analysts, and end users, to deliver an efficient and high-quality FX migration solution within specified timelines.
Responsibilities
Lead and manage FX migration projects on Murex, from analysis to implementation, ensuring all technical and functional aspects are delivered successfully.
Work closely with business users to gather requirements, define migration strategies, and ensure alignment with business objectives.
Analyze and map existing FX systems and data flows for seamless integration into the Murex platform.
Provide subject matter expertise in Murex FX modules, especially in configuration, trade lifecycle management, and risk management processes.
Develop and execute migration plans, including data mapping, data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL).
Troubleshoot and resolve any issues during the migration process, including data discrepancies, performance bottlenecks, or configuration challenges.
Conduct system testing and validation post-migration, ensuring all functionality operates as expected.
Provide training and post-migration support to business users to ensure smooth adoption of the new platform.
Collaborate with Murex development teams to address any customization or enhancements required to meet business needs.
Produce detailed documentation of migration processes, including best practices and lessons learned.
Skills
Must have
8+ years of strong experience in Murex.
FX Migration Expertise: Proven experience in delivering successful FX migrations to Murex in a techno-functional role.
Murex Platform Proficiency: Strong knowledge of Murex platform, particularly in FX modules (Front Office, Back Office, and Risk Management).
Technical Knowledge: Expertise in Murex architecture, including data models, configurations, workflows, and API integration.
ETL & Data Migration: Experience in designing and executing data migration processes, including ETL (Extraction, Transformation, Loading) of FX data to Murex.
SQL & Scripting: Proficiency in SQL and scripting languages for data extraction and transformation.
Business Acumen: Solid understanding of FX trading, pricing, and risk management, with the ability to align technical solutions to business requirements.
Stakeholder Management: Ability to work with both technical and business stakeholders, managing their expectations and delivering on commitments.
Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills to address challenges during migration and post-migration phases.
Nice to have
Experience with Other Asset Classes: Experience in migration or support of other financial asset classes on Murex, such as derivatives or commodities.
Cloud Platforms: Familiarity with cloud environments and experience with Murex in cloud-based infrastructures.
Programming Languages: Knowledge of programming languages such as Java, Python, or similar for custom integrations.
Agile Methodology: Experience working in Agile project environments with a focus on iterative delivery and continuous improvement.
Certifications: Murex certifications or other relevant technical certifications would be a plus.
