Job Description
CrazyLabs seeks a Game Level Designer to design and balance engaging puzzle levels, missions, and experiences for new Hybrid Casual Puzzle games. Responsibilities include designing level structure and progression, collaborating with data analysts to optimize level performance based on analytics and player feedback, and working with a cross-functional team to improve the game. The ideal candidate possesses 3+ years of experience in designing casual/hybrid casual puzzle games for mobile, strong problem-solving skills, and excellent communication abilities. They will use internal tools to create levels and should be comfortable with data-driven decision-making and iterating designs based on metrics and playtesting results.

CrazyLabs is a top 5 mobile games publisher with over 6 Billion downloads to date, a worldwide leader in games development, distribution, and innovation. We are looking for a Game Level Designer to join our team and work on exciting new Hybrid Casual Puzzle games!
Our ideal candidate should be a gamer with previous experience creating and maintaining successful and fun mobile games!
What you will be working on
- Design and balance appealing puzzle levels, missions, and experiences from concept, to creation using internal tools.
- Design the structure and the order of levels to create an ideal progression for the player.
- Collaborate with Data Analysts to understand level performance through analytics and adjust levels accordingly.
- Adjust and modify designs and the game levels based on game metrics, team input, internal/external playtests, and community feedback
- Working with a talented and cross-discipline team to grow the product by adding new levels while also continuously improving the existing game experience.
- Communicate design clearly and concisely with the team and throughout the studio
- Inspire the agile and multidisciplinary game team through progressive & creative design
Requirements
What we’re looking for
- A consistent 3+ years track record of (relevant and released) Casual and/or Hybrid Causal Puzzle games.
- Profound insight into the level balancing, pacing & difficulty tuning
- Solid problem-solving abilities and critical thinking
- Independent, self-motivated, driving new initiatives to improve the game.
- Strong empathic ability to understand and “feel” our target audience
- You embrace F2P and enjoy working with KPIs and analytics to adjust your designs in data-driven decisions
- Learning and applying collected player feedback
- Excellent communication skills in English, both spoken and written
- Proficiency in data spreadsheets and working with analytical and technical tools
- Ability to work with remote teams
- Deep passion for games
