The Role
Our Head of HR is responsible for delivering the strategic and operational activities in the UK region with some responsibility in the US. The purpose of their role is to partner with the Executive and Senior Leadership teams to understand their business challenges in order to create and deliver relevant people and talent strategies and initiatives.
This role would suit someone with global experience from a medium/large enterprise, ideally in the creative industry but not a must. The successful candidate will be skilled at balancing operational demands with strategic and longer-term priorities. You will bring a strong foundation of employment law knowledge and a proven track record of designing and delivering a strategy that aligns to business needs and inspires change.
Key Responsibilities
- Coach and advise leadership teams and line managers, providing recommendations to improve performance, employee retention and overall employee experience in line with the people strategy.
- Support and coach managers on a range of people policies and lead on ER issues.
- Collaborate with line managers and executive teams to design evolving workforce structures, ensuring that we have the necessary resources in place to achieve commercial objectives.
- Proactively educate and update management on employment legislation and HR thought leadership.
- Project manage the rolling out of various Group and local projects for the UK and US territories.
- Manage payroll.
- Have a team of two report into you
- Maintain data health in BambooHR and Pento.
Role Requirements
- A minimum of five years of experience in Human Resources, team management, recruiting, and performance management.
- CIPD qualified or working towards a qualification
- Strong interpersonal and consulting skills in dealing with employees at all levels of the organization, including leadership, influencin g and relationship-building across functions.
- Experience coaching mid or senior-level leaders to improve leadership performance.
- Ability to demonstrate both depth and breadth of HR experience across sectors and HR disciplines
- Demonstrable ability of guiding, coaching senior leaders and managers, providing constructive feedback as and when required
- Ability to work in a fast paced and changing environment, coupled with the ability to effectively manage competing priorities and a track record of delivery in a resourceful manner
- Outstanding ability to lead people with a clear commitment and passion for coaching and developing others
- Ability to think strategically and conceptually, solve business problems with pragmatic and speedy HR solutions – assimilating issues and ideas into clear requirements,generating alternative solutions based on own insight or learning
- Ability to build trust, flex, and tailor style to individual and situations to be able to partner effectively and influence decision making
