Job Description

This role is for a Java Microservices Technical Lead in London, UK. Responsibilities include providing technical guidance and solutions, ensuring process compliance, preparing status reports, communicating with internal and external teams on interdependencies and technical aspects, supporting the development team on technical decisions, maintaining project documentation (Jira, Confluence, GitHub), and communicating with clients on resources, performance, and delivery SLAs. The candidate will be responsible for conceptualizing and implementing event-driven architectures using Java Microservices, building high-performance streaming applications using Spark, Flink, and Core Java 1.8, writing test cases, enabling CI/CD, and advising clients on program improvement.

Must have:

8+ years experience as Tech Lead
Java Microservices & Event-driven architecture
Spark, Flink, Core Java 1.8
CI/CD implementation
Test case writing
Client advisory on program improvement

Project description

You will be responsible for managing technology in projects and providing technical guidance and solutions for work completion.
(1.) To be responsible for providing technical guidance and solutions
(2.) To ensure process compliance in the assigned module and participate in technical discussions and reviews.
(3.) To prepare and submit status reports for minimizing exposure and risks on the project or closure of escalations.
(4.) Being self-organized and focused on develop on time and quality software

Responsibilities

Communicate with internal & external teams on interdependencies, tech. stacks, infrastructure setup, etc.

Provide guidance and support for the development team on technical decisions, options and alternatives

Work with the team on creating and maintaining the project's documentation and keep it in order (Jira, Confluence, GitHub)

Communicate with the client on subjects like resources, performance, delivery SLAs, etc.

Keep data in the company's internal systems in order.

Skills

Must have

At least 8 years of experience, with Tech Lead being the most recent position.

Conceptualize and Implement the event-driven architecture using Java Microservices based on the business requirement

Able to build, test & deploy high-performance streaming application using Spark, Flink, and Core Java 1.8

Able to write test cases and enable CI/CD

Able to identify and advise clients on how to improve the existing program.
