Junior Network Administrator

Position Overview:

As a Junior Network Administrator, you'll play a vital role in maintaining and optimizing our network systems. You’ll work closely with the IT team to manage devices connected to our network, support cloud infrastructure, and ensure both Windows and Mac environments operate efficiently. Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor, maintain, and troubleshoot all devices connected to the network (desktops, laptops, printers, mobile devices, etc.).
• Assist in managing and supporting cloud infrastructure on Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and Amazon Web Services (AWS).
• Provide technical support for Windows business environments and Mac systems.
• Implement network security protocols and ensure compliance with company policies.
• Assist in setting up new hardware, software, and network configurations.
• Maintain accurate documentation of network configurations, procedures, and changes.
• Collaborate with senior network administrators to improve system performance and reliability.
• Respond to and resolve network issues in a timely manner, providing support to both local and remote teams.
• Participate in the planning and execution of network upgrades and expansions.
• Provide end-user training and support for network-related tools and systems.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• 1-2 years of experience in network administration or IT support roles.
• Hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and Amazon Web Services (AWS).
• Familiarity with Windows business environments and MacOS systems.
• Strong understanding of networking concepts, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and VPN.
• Basic knowledge of network security best practices.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Skills and Certifications:

• Certifications such as AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner, AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate, Microsoft Certified: Azure Fundamentals, or Microsoft Certified: Windows Server Fundamentals.
• Experience with network monitoring tools and ticketing systems.
• Knowledge of scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell, Bash) for automation.
• Familiarity with virtualization technologies such as VMware or Hyper-V.
• Understanding of ITIL practices and service management.
