Job Description

Tesla Engineering Germany GmbH seeks a detail-oriented Lab Technician to support the development of new products. Responsibilities include prototyping, PCB inspection and analysis, solder rework, building adapter boards and harnesses, supporting mechanical build processes (including turning/milling), and creating/interpreting documentation. The role requires strong electro-mechanical assembly skills, a solid understanding of electronics/electrical circuits, excellent communication, and troubleshooting abilities. Collaboration with engineers and operations teams is essential to ensure quality and efficiency. Minimum 3 years of hands-on assembly experience and technical training as an electrical or electronics technician are needed.

  • Experience with NPI of power electronic products
  • Mass production experience

What You’ll Do
  • Support the Design team in building-up prototypes
  • Incoming PCB inspection and data analysis
  • Perform day-to-day solder reworks
  • Build and modify adapter boards and cable harnesses
  • Support mechanical build processes, perform reworks on components (turning/milling), and prepare documentation for Design and Manufacturing Engineers
  • Ability to read, interpret, and create documentation and drawings, and to give and follow precise verbal and written instruction
  • Troubleshooting equipment and processes by collaborating with engineering, quality and operations 
What You’ll Bring
  • Minimum of 3 years hands-on experience in assembly for new products  
  • Completed technical training as a electrical or electronics technician or similar
  • Good understanding of electrical, pneumatic, and mechanical systems
  • Excellent English communication skills both written and verbal
  • Experience with NPI of power electronic products and/or mass production are a plus
