As a Lead 3D Game Artist, you will be responsible for guiding the artistic vision and direction of our projects. You will collaborate closely with various departments, including Visual, Programming, and Product teams, to ensure the highest quality in our game design and execution. This role requires a combination of creative expertise, technical proficiency, and strong leadership skills.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and mentor a team of 3D artists, providing guidance and support to ensure high-quality outputs.
  • Develop and implement the artistic vision for our games, with a strong focus on the hybrid-casual art style.
  • Create and optimize 3D assets, including low-poly and high-poly models, animations, rigs, UV maps, and textures.
  • Ensure all assets are optimized for performance and meet the technical requirements of the game engine.
  • Collaborate with other departments to integrate art assets seamlessly into the game.
  • Maintain up-to-date documentation of processes and workflows.
  • Share knowledge and provide answers to team members' questions to foster a collaborative and innovative environment.
  • Work closely with the Unity Editor to implement and fine-tune art assets within the game.

Requirements

  • 4-5 years of experience in the 3D art field. Previous lead experience is a plus.
  • Proficient in Blender with skills in low-poly and high-poly modeling, animation, rigging, UV mapping, and texture production.
  • Experience with Unity Editor.
  • Proficient in Substance 3D and Adobe Photoshop.
  • Strong understanding of games and the game industry.
  • Expertise in mesh and texture optimization.
  • Strong organizational skills and a team player.
  • Knowledge of appealing design, color theory, light and shadow, form, composition, and hybrid-casual art.
  • Strong leadership skills, with the ability to mentor and inspire a team of artists.
  • Proactive in resolving conflicts and fostering a positive work environment.
