Job Description

As a Lead Business Consultant specializing in ABOR (Accounting Book Of Records), you will be instrumental in expanding the market unit and advancing client outcomes. You will work full-time on implementation projects, focusing on the ABOR area, and be responsible for all aspects of the project stream. You will act as a key sparring partner for clients, coordinating and escalating issues as needed. This role involves understanding client requirements, providing solutions for SimCorp Dimension, and mentoring less experienced colleagues. Additionally, you will contribute to improving best practices and exchanging know-how on an international level.
Must have:
  • Experience as an Analyst or Consultant for asset managers.
  • Advanced expertise in investment accounting, general ledger, or fund accounting.
  • Degree within Business discipline (Accounting, Finance, or Economics).
  • Effective communication skills and proficiency in English.
Good to have:
  • CPA, CA, or equivalent.
  • Detail-oriented professional with a can-do mindset.
  • Practical experience with SimCorp Dimension is a plus.
  • Ability to travel to client’s site (up to 50%).

At SimCorp, we facilitate the streamlining of investments, accounting, and operations for major global financial institutions. We do this through IT systems, processes, and financial knowledge. Implementing our software by way of high-quality projects is at the core of what we do. To introduce our software to our clients, business consultants are essential to us.  

In the role of Lead Business Consultant specializing in ABOR (Accounting Book Of Records), your participation will be instrumental in the expansion of our market unit and in advancing the outcomes of our clients' projects.  

You will normally be working full-time on implementation projects, which require your special expertise in the ABOR area, and you will be responsible for all aspects of the project stream.  

You will act as an important sparring partner for your clients and effectively monitor, coordinate, and escalate issues as needed. 

WHAT YOU WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR

  • Responsibility for major parts of SimCorp Dimension® implementation projects: You know the customers‘ requirements and processes related to Investment Accounting at banks, asset managers and insurers and outline solutions for optimal use of SimCorp Dimension® 

  • Close cooperation with the project manager and key role in developing projects to success 

  • Gain understanding of Simcorp’s Global Standard Solutions and utilize them for project delivery

  • Key contact for our customers for all questions in connection with SimCorp Dimension® 

  • Instruct and mentor less experienced colleagues on the job 

  • Contribute to improving best practices for implementation processes and promote topics across projects 

  • Contribute in know-how exchange with colleagues on an international level 

WHAT WE VALUE

  • Previous experience as an Analyst or (Implementation) Consultant for asset managers, asset owners, banks or consulting firms

  • Advanced expertise in at least two of the following areas: investment accounting, general ledger, or fund accounting

  • Our candidates will have experience in one or more of the following fields:

    • Asset Management – Operational Accounting or Financial Reporting

    • Consulting or Professional Services within the Treasury or Asset Management sector

    • An implementation role for a software vendor specializing in Asset Management software

    • Asset Management candidates should have 5-7 years of experience working directly with the investment accounting or reporting function and related enterprise applications

    • Consultants should have experience with multiple enterprise implementations involving ABOR functions on the buy side, and hands on experience with applications similar to Simcorp Dimension

    • Experience with Trade processing including confirmation and/or trade settlement processes and solutions

  • Degree within Business discipline (Accounting, Finance, or Economics) or Mathematics/Applied Sciences preferred

  • CPA, CA, or equivalent is an asset

  • Detail-oriented professional with a can-do mindset

  • Ability to manage assigned tasks and deliver the results on time

  • Have effective communication skills and proficiency in English – both oral and written

  • Basic understanding of financial industry/products and related accounting

  • Practical experience with SimCorp Dimension is a plus

  • Ability to travel to client’s site (up to 50%)
