Job Description

As a Lead Character Artist at Zynga, you will be responsible for creating high-quality 3D character models and animations for our mobile games. You will work closely with the art director and other artists to ensure that all characters meet the artistic vision for the game. You will also be responsible for mentoring and guiding junior artists. Responsibilities include: Leading the creation of all character assets for a game, including models, textures, rigs, and animations. Collaborating with the art director and other artists to ensure that all character assets meet the artistic vision for the game. Mentoring and guiding junior artists. Staying up-to-date on the latest trends in character art.

Must have:

Strong 3D modeling and texturing skills
Experience with industry-standard software such as Maya, ZBrush, and Substance Painter
Excellent understanding of anatomy and human movement
Ability to create high-quality, expressive character animations
Experience with game engines such as Unity or Unreal Engine
Strong communication and collaboration skills
Ability to work independently and meet deadlines

Good to have:

Experience with game development for mobile platforms
Experience with character rigging and skinning
Experience with facial animation
Experience with game design and level design
Experience with scripting languages such as Python or Lua
