As a Lead Copywriter, you will be responsible for crafting compelling and engaging copy for various marketing channels and campaigns. You will also lead a team of copywriters, ensuring all content is on-brand, consistent in style, quality-driven, and aligned with the company's messaging, tone and voice, and goals. Responsibilities include leading and managing a team of copywriters, conceptualizing and developing creative copy for marketing campaigns, advertisements, websites, emails, social media, corporate collateral, and other channels, collaborating with designers, Integrated Marketing, Website team, and other teams to understand project requirements, target audience, and objectives, editing and proofreading copy to ensure clarity, grammar, consistency, and brand voice and tone adherence, understanding and following AP Style Guides for copy consistency and adherence, staying updated on industry trends and best practices in copywriting and digital marketing, conducting research and interviews to understand customer needs and market trends, and developing and maintaining a content calendar to ensure timely delivery of content.
Must have:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or related field
  • 5+ years of experience as a Copywriter or similar role
  • Experience in leading or managing a team of copywriters
  • Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills
  • Ability to adapt writing style to various tones, voices, and platforms
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills
  • Proficiency in SEO principles and content optimization

Position Overview:
We seek a skilled and experienced Lead Copywriter to join our marketing team.  As a Lead Copywriter, you will craft compelling and engaging copy for various marketing channels and campaigns. You will also lead a team of copywriters, ensuring all content is on-brand, consistent in style, quality-driven, and aligned with our company's messaging, tone and voice, and company goals. The ideal candidate should have a proven track record of creating impactful copy, strong leadership skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
What you’ll do as the Lead, Copywriter:

  • Lead and manage a team of copywriters, providing guidance, feedback, and mentorship.
  • Conceptualize and develop creative and persuasive copy for marketing campaigns, advertisements, websites, emails, social media, corporate collateral, and other channels.
  • Collaborate closely with designers, Integrated Marketing, Website team, and other teams to understand project requirements, target audience, and objectives.
  • Edit and proofread copy to ensure clarity, grammar, consistency, and brand voice and tone adherence.
  • Understand and follow AP Style Guides for copy consistency and adherence.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in copywriting and digital marketing. Knowledge of the IT technology industry is a bonus.
  • Conduct research and interviews to understand customer needs and market trends.
  • Develop and maintain a content calendar to ensure timely delivery of content.
What you will bring to the team:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or related field (preferred).
  • 5+ years of experience as a Copywriter or similar role, with a strong portfolio of work.
  • Experience in leading or managing a team of copywriters.
  • Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills.
  • Ability to adapt writing style to various tones, voices, and platforms.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
  • Proficiency in SEO principles and content optimization.
