Chez People Can Fly, vous travaillerez avec des technologies parmi les plus captivantes de l’industrie, aux côtés d’artisans talentueux. En collaborant avec plusieurs services et en étroite collaboration avec les concepteurs et les ingénieurs en jouabilité, vous et votre équipe mettrez en œuvre les systèmes de jeu et les outils de base pour aider nos ingénieurs en jouabilité à concrétiser leur vision. 

Vos tâches seront les suivantes :

  • Être l’ingénieur(e) responsable de notre équipe moteur, en créant des systèmes pour soutenir la jouabilité tout en prévenant les problèmes liés à la performance et à l’extensibilité.
  • Gérer une équipe d’ingénieurs en participant à hiérarchiser leurs tâches.
  • Participer à la formation et au perfectionnement des ingénieurs au sein de votre équipe en leur fournissant du mentorat et des conseils.
  • Faire rapport sur l’état d’avancement des travaux et de l’équipe au directeur ou à la directrice technique.
  • Écrire des codes propres, efficaces et maintenables.
  • Tester, déboguer, profiler et optimiser la mise en œuvre des éléments.
  • Créer une documentation de conception conforme aux standards de l’équipe.
  • Effectuer des examens du code et de la conception.

We are looking for an experienced Engine Programmer who exhibits passion and curiosity in building complex systems and desire to lead a team of engine engineers. At People Can Fly you will work with some of the industry’s most exciting technology and work alongside talented individuals. Working across multiple departments and in close proximity with design and gameplay engineers, you and your team will implement the core game systems and tools to help our gameplay engineers achieve their vision 

In this role you will:

  • Be the engineer responsible for our engine team creating systems to support gameplay as well as being the vanguard for performance and scalability issues
  • Manage a team of engineers helping prioritize their tasks
  • Be involved in the development and growth of the engineers on your team through mentoring and guidance
  • Report status of the work and status of your team to the Technical Director
  • Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code.
  • Test, debug, profile and optimize implementations.
  • Create design documentation according to team standards
  • Perform code and design reviews

Qualifications

  • Au moins 5 ans d’expérience dans la production de jeux pour consoles et PC.
  • Au moins un projet publié. 
  • Expérience de direction ou de gestion.
  • Excellente connaissance d’Unreal Engine.
  • Solides compétences en programmation C/C++.
  • Solide connaissance de la diffusion en continu, de la réseautique et de la performance.
  • Capacité à écrire des codes efficaces fiables et maintenables.
  • Expérience en profilage et optimisation.

Atouts

  • Connaissance de JIRA, Swarm et Perforce.
  • Baccalauréat (ou niveau d’études supérieur) en informatique ou dans une discipline similaire (physique, mathématiques, génie électronique, etc.).
  • Familiarité avec les systèmes de génération procédurale.

  • Lead / managerial experience
  • Excellent knowledge of Unreal Engine

  • Experience with profiling and optimizations

  • BS (or higher) in Computer Science or similar discipline (Physics, Math, EE, etc.)
