PTW is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Tech Artist with expertise in Unity and AR technologies. The ideal candidate will lead our technical art team, bridging the gap between art and engineering to ensure the highest quality visual and interactive experiences. This role requires a deep understanding of both artistic principles and technical constraints, as well as strong leadership and communication skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and mentor a team of technical artists, providing guidance and support to ensure the team’s growth and success.
  • Collaborate with other departments, including engineering, design, and production, to ensure cohesive project development.
  • Develop and implement advanced shaders, visual effects, and other technical art solutions using Unity.
  • Optimize assets and scenes for performance without compromising visual quality.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation and best practices for the art team.
  • Work closely with AR developers to integrate AR features and ensure seamless functionality.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to AR implementation.
  • Design and maintain efficient art pipelines and workflows.
  • Develop custom tools and scripts to enhance the productivity of the art team.
  • Conduct regular reviews and provide feedback to ensure the highest quality of art assets and technical implementations.
  • Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies to continuously improve the team’s capabilities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Game Design is a must.
  • Solid experience in technical art, having acted in lead or senior role.
  • Proven experience with Unity and AR development.
  • Strong proficiency in Unity, including scripting (C#) and shader development.
  • Excellent understanding of 3D art principles, including modeling, texturing, and animation.
  • Experience with AR platforms such as ARKit, ARCore, or similar.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
