Your role

As Lead Technical Engineer (f/m/d) at Chimera Entertainment, you will create high-quality, visually appealing games within an experienced, international and flexible team of about 45 people. As a successful and ambitious company with a sustainable and transparent leadership style, all of our employees work with dedication and a team-first attitude. Working on state-of-the-art projects with high-profile partners, this will be your opportunity to grow and expand your knowledge within the games industry in a professional and friendly atmosphere. 

We are currently working on our own IP strategy game "Songs of Silence" for PC and consoles: check it out on  Steam!  

Your responsibilities will include:
  • Lead a team of up to ten developers (frontend/backend)
  • Monitor technical processes and identify key areas for improvements within the team
  • Conduct feedback and performance reviews with the team members
  • Assist with employee development and recruiting
  • Take care of the roadmap for internal tools (new features, improvements and bug-fixing)
  • Act as the point of contact for internal and external stakeholders 
  • Communicate and develop solutions with the Production, Design and Art departments
  • Proactively identify and resolve risks and workflow impediments
  • Execute on technical strategies for the company and its individual projects, including selection of technologies and frameworks
Who we’re looking for:
  • You have a minimum of eight years of professional experience in the games industry
  • You know common and efficient workflows, tools and development processes of the games industry
  • You are experienced with mobile development and the Unity3D engine
  • You have sufficient understanding of backend development and cloud infrastructure 
  • You are skilled in communication with team members, outsourcers and customers
  • You are able to create documentation for workflows and processes
  • You can work self-directed and reliably
  • You can work efficiently within tight schedules
  • You are a highly motivated, flexible team player
  • You have good knowledge of spoken and written English
  • You love playing mobile and/or video games Console
The ideal candidate also has:
  • Experience in console & PC development
  • Experience in Unreal 3D
  • Experience in a leading role
  • Experience in handling outsourcing partners
  • Good understanding of the games industry in general, especially the life cycle of mobile games
