  • First, we build media brands focused on specific business verticals that are driven by individual content creators (For example, I Hate It Here is an HR media brand driven by content created by our Chief People Officer Hebba Youssef)
  • Then, we launch professional communities for those media brands’ audiences with the goal of fostering connection & growth for those professionals in their careers (For example, the Safe Space community, which is made up of members of the I Hate It Here audience.)

Simply put, we help professionals grow in their careers by providing them with the information, network, and resources they need to thrive.

The Role

Workweek is actively seeking a Lifecycle Marketer who specializes in crafting compelling email marketing strategies, is adept at copywriting, and is experienced in utilizing Segment (CDP). This role focuses on nurturing paid subscribers, bolstering engagement, and amplifying subscription sign-ups.

Key Responsibilities

  • Email Marketing Campaigns: Develop and launch comprehensive email marketing campaigns, including targeted sequences and promotions that engage subscribers and motivate actions.
  • Segmentation and Personalization: Utilize subscriber data to segment the email list, delivering personalized content and offers that resonate with varied audience segments. Leverage dynamic content to increase the impact of email communications.
  • Automation and Workflow Management: Employ marketing automation tools to simplify campaign execution and subscriber communication. Establish automated email sequences and triggered messages to maintain relevance and engagement throughout the subscriber journey.
  • Analytics and Reporting: Analyze crucial metrics to gauge campaign effectiveness, pinpoint improvement areas, and refine strategies for enhanced ROI.
  • Retention Strategies: Formulate and implement initiatives, including onboarding sequences and loyalty programs, to boost subscriber retention and minimize churn.
  • Integration with Sales and Customer Support: Collaborate with sales to ensure marketing alignment with sales goals and support customer support teams in enhancing the subscriber experience.
  • Continuous Testing and Optimization: Engage in ongoing testing and refinement of marketing approaches to bolster performance and sustain growth in subscription numbers.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience as an email marketer and copywriter, ideally, with hands-on experience in Segment (CDP).
  • A track record of developing and implementing successful email marketing campaigns that drive engagement and subscription growth.
  • Expertise in segmentation, personalization, and marketing automation tools.
  • Strong analytical skills, with experience in monitoring, analyzing, and optimizing based on key performance indicators.
  • Creative and strategic thinker with the ability to develop innovative retention strategies and collaborate across teams.
  • Adaptability and a proactive approach, suitable for a dynamic, fast-paced startup environment.
