At Altagram, we are seeking a talented Localization Engineer to join our team in the APAC region. In this pivotal role, you will support the project management team by analyzing and preparing localization kits. Additionally, you will collaborate closely with the Linguistic team, providing assistance throughout all localization processes. This includes ensuring the seamless operation of our CAT tools and localization software, particularly MemoQ, Plunet, and Smartling.

This position can be done fully remote, the candidate should ideally be based in the APAC Time zone.
 
YOUR ROLE

  • Conduct thorough analysis and preparation of diverse source files and formats to optimize localization project workflows.
  • Partner with various teams to enhance their workflows, assisting with repetitive and specialized tasks to improve overall efficiency.
  • Identify technical training needs and lead informative sessions for project managers and linguistic coordinators, empowering the team with essential skills.
  • Actively participate in internal or client calls to provide support to project managers and sales representatives, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.
  • Offer comprehensive assistance to the entire team in utilizing our tools and resolving any technical challenges that may arise.
Your profile
  • Extensive experience in localization processes and localization engineering, demonstrating a strong foundation in the field.
  • In-depth knowledge of key localization tools, including MemoQ, Plunet, and Smartling, ensuring efficient project execution.
  • A solid grasp of regular expressions is essential for this role, facilitating precise text manipulation and localization.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English are required to convey ideas clearly and effectively.
  • A proactive and independent mindset, with the ability to solve problems and make decisive decisions autonomously.
  • A minimum of 3-4 years of experience as a Localization Engineer, showcasing a depth of knowledge and expertise.
  • Confidence in managing customer relationships, paired with excellent interpersonal communication abilities.
  • Familiarity with standard software, particularly MS Office, with a focus on Excel for data management and analysis.
  • Familiarity with the principles of internationalization and globalization, enhancing the ability to work in diverse markets.
